Bristol is here

Bristol has been here with us for almost 2 weeks now! We are adjusting to life with 3 kids who are 3 and under. She was born may 29th via repeat c-section. It was a stormy morning and the lights even flicked at the hospital. My friend Lindsey watched the boys that morning so my family could all be at the hospital that morning. Everything went so smoothly with the surgery and her birth. I had a great nurse and great nurse anesthesist, and my wonderful doctor. It always makes me laugh at how casual everything is during surgery and everyone talking about their golf game and the weekend while you are laying there cut wide open. She was born screaming her head off! She was so mad and has a set of lungs. After I was all put back together We were taken to recovery and I got to snuggle her and do some skin to skin time with her. I then let some of the family back to see her and I nursed her. After a hour we were moved to our room. They gave her her first bath in the room and she screamed and screamed until they washed her hair. She loved her hair being washed, she has lots of hair. I hated being away fom my boys while in the hospital. We spent Tuesday - Friday morning in the hospital. The recovery went a lot easier than with Brayden. I assume because I didn't labor for so long before surgery. The boys came to the hospital to visit on Wednesday and Bennett gave her like 15 kisses! Bennett doesn't give out kisses easily so this shocked me and melted my heart. Brayden was more interested in the candy in the room at first. Since being homebrayden is the one constantly kissing on her and hugging her. He always wants to "hold" her. Neither of the boys ever want her to cry. We haven't ventured out to many public places with all 3 yet, except the doctor or my moms house and chick fil a once. She eats very well and has surpassed her birth weight. She sleeps a lot, day and night. She is so sweet and cuddly. She hates her diaper changed and turns so red when she gets mad!

Baby Bristol Pregnancy Updates

I feel so neglectful not updating and recording the events as well about this pregnancy, but with two wild boys and lots of preparing and speech therapy there just hasn't been a lot of free time. I still haven't developed any pictures since last October! Anyways, Bristol will be here in one week. I have had a really good pregnancy with her. Some things are different from when I was carrying Brayden, like she moves around more than he did and did so sooner than he did. She is also up higher and hasn't dropped which is why I think I feel better and easier to move around than with him. I didn't have any throwing up morning sickness with either one but with Bristol I did catch two different stomach bugs right before the holidays causing me to throw up. Her ultrasound showed hair so we are hoping she gets as much as Brayden had! Cravings with Bristol are lots of ice, regular coke, shogun ruce and brown sugar.

Things I want to remember...

I want to remember how Brayden easily laughs all the time and also how he cries easily as well. Bennett loves to play with Brayden and tease him by trying tease him like a big brother should. Brayden will squeal like a little piggy and it's just too funny. Bennett likes to irritate him but not for meanness but for the fun of it. Also the boys just love for me to play "this little piggy" on their toes. They both just say "more more more" and "wee wee" and "piggy". Athey just laugh and laugh at the weeee wee wee part. I love how when in the car and they see a semi or bus they both start saying "choo choo"! I love the face brayden makes often which is him puffing his lips out like kissing but then makes a sniffing noise, it is hilarious. I love these boys and the stages they are in.

Boys stats

Bennett 3 years old was in 55-60% for weight and 75% for height! My baby boy is so big! He wasn't even on the charts at 9months when we brought him home. At one year he was wearing 3-6months clothes in some outfits. Now he is topping charts and wearing 3t and could wear 4t in some shirts! Brayden at 18months was 50% in weight and 5%in height. Yep 5%! Haha. Poor short little boy . Love him :)

Update on our family...way behind

I know I am way behind on updates on here. I hate that because this is the easiest way for me to remember what the boys did at certain ages. I haven't found a good way to update from the iPad yet, does anyone know? Bennett just turned 3years old last week. He aged out of the first steps program he was in and getting his therapys from so we have just switched to new therapists and have been getting a lot of evaluations done. Right now he is going to preschool for two half days, private speech therapy for an hour and two days he has speech through jcps for 30 mins a piece. He is one busy boy. Through june, July, and August he will have private speech for an hour still, and probably speech for a half hour and occupational therapy for a half hour as well. In August when he starts a new preschool it will change once again. We are trying to get him into a program that will give him more therapy for free because by the time summer is of he will have used up all of his insurance covered sessions. So pray with us that he gets into this program please! He has been saying so much more lately, and using lots more words with meaning. Right now he loves telling people to "seeet"(sit). He calls Brayden "baby". He still likes to watch his Elmo. He loves playing with cars and balls. He is a big climber and jumper. He could stay outside all day long if we let him. He loves "wa wa"(water), which includes baths or showers or especially the hot tub and grandmas and papaws house. He is obsessed with his alphabet right now and can recognize all of them. He knows them in order and out of order. He can say his alphabet from memory usually only skipping about 3 or 4 but sometimes he gets to excited for the clapping at the end so he will jump to "y z!" hahaha. He likes to sing in the car to his Bible song cd. I have even noticed him saying some of the words in the songs and he sings "deep" and "wide" (sounds like dee and why). He has been doing really well on the new routine we have them on, they go he'd between 8pm and 8:30pm and wake up around 7am. I never thought we would be a routine family nor did I think the boys would go for it but it works for them and we like it. It gives Brian and I some quite time after they go to sleep. I'm sure once the baby arrives that will change ;) Brayden is a little wild man at 18 months old! He does everything big brother does. He climbs right behind him and jumps too. Poor guy has bruises all over from attempting to do what Bennett does. He laughs and smiles so easy and yet cries and gets mad just as easy. He is our emotional one. He makes the funniest faces and facial expressions. He is talking so much. He can repeat almost anything it seems. His new favorite sentence is "where are you?". He has also said sentence "where'd they go?", "can I have one?", and "I drop my cup". He loves to say "uh oh". Single words he says are too many to count but include: car, mommy, daddy, brother, duck, dog, bird, woof woof, moo, papaw, mamaw, play, jump, wa wa, go, boom, night night, big bird, Elmo, Grover, eat, cracker, cookie, ball, book, baby, ect...... I talked pretty early plus he has been sitting in on all of Bennett's speech therapy sessions too! He loves to watch Elmo too and take baths and play with balls and Cars. These two brothers like to do everything together and I am so glad. They share a room now and eh love it. Brayden is currently obsessed with birds and looking for birds outside. It is too funny to watch him "where are you bird?" over and over and then go "bird bird bird bird!" when he finds one. Baby girl is growing and growing. We are 33 1/2weeks along now. She should be arriving at 38 weeks and 6 days, so not too far now. We are working on her room still. It is painted and the furniture is up. We just have to touch up paint, change out electric sockets and covers, put her name decal on the wall and finish organizing last bit of clothes. We saw her in a 3d ultrasound last week and she looks a lot like Brayden did in ultrasound. Also it looks like she has hair! Who hoo.

Quick update!

(We are now 27 1/2 weeks but I am a super slacker and have no new picture of the baby bump to update with!)

Sorry for lack of posts recently! I have been mainly using the internet from my ipad and havent figured out how to update the blog from there. Things ave been extremely busy around here. Bennett has something everyday of the week going on between school, DI playgroup and therapies and church. Brayden has been getting into all kinds of stuff and has mastered the art of climbing recently and I have found him on the table, the counter, and even sitting in the bathroom sink. Baby girl is getting bigger and bigger and we are starting on her room now. We are 27 1/2 weeks along with her now.

Baby Gibson #3 (15 weeks)

Here I am at 15 weeks with Baby Gibson #3. Not much new from last week. Still very tired. Not sure when energy will ever come back? The baby is supposed to be the size of an apple now!
