Bennett

Bennett is starting to be able to match his colors now! He has been able to repeat the color words for a little bit but recently he has been able to recognize the colors! Who hoo!  He has made great improvements little by little.  He is learning to follow directions more.  His understanding is improving.  He is able to say lots of words now. My favorite new thing of his is when he says "hold me".  Melts my heart.  It is hilarious when he yells  at Brayden or wants us to do something to Brayden instead of him ( like wash hair or change diaper)... he will yell "Bway-den!" and clap his hands! Too funny.  I love that boy! He is going to school 4 days a week 1/2 days and has speech once a week and occupational therapy once a week. We are hoping he gets his approval for more therapy soon!  He is learning so much and does better each week. He met all of his goals this month in OT, most had to do with his attention span and transition to new activities.  He goes to Cubbies (Awanas) on Wed night at church.  I love that my little boy is putting scripture in his heart even if he cant say every word of the verses, hearing it and trying are great for him.  His Cubbies teacher is great with him.  He had surgery on his eye a few weeks ago to fix the crossing. So far it seems to have worked, hopefully he wont have to have any more surgeryto fix it.

Bristol is 4 months old.

I know I really need to go back and add pictures into some of these posts...I can't seem to do it from the iPad and I don't want to forget things by waiting until I have time to upload the pics.

I really am having a hard time realizing how fast Bristol is growing, she is already 4 months old! It goes fast with each kid, geeze!  She weighed in at 14lbs 3 oz (50%tile) and 24 1/2 inches (50%tile) and her head was 75%tile!

She has giggled once, while mommy was gone of course.  She smiles ALL the time! She is so happy. She loves to watch her two big brothers and thinks they are so funny.  She has even tried the swing in the backyard with them.  She can sit up but still slumps forward and falls to the side a lot.  She is getting spoiled.  She likes her hand held in the car.  She likes her exersaucer.  She is growing out of the bouncer and doesn't want to just lay around anymore, she is getting active.  She likes to be wrapped on mommy for walks.  She slobbers all the time, she needs to wear a bib for it but I hate to cover up the cute outfits (haha).  She goes to nursery at church now and does great in there, let's hope that stays.  She isn't really a big fan of sleeping in her pack n play anymore, uh oh.

First laughs

Yesterday Brian watched all three kids while I went to the store (I normally take Bristol), while I was gone (just over an hour) Brian said Bristol giggled out loud or the first time! That stinker!  She was watching Bennett swing.

Bristol is 3 months

I can't believe my baby girl is 3 months old! She is full of personality already.  She smiles a whole lot.  Her favorite spot is in mommys arms or daddy's if mommy has to do something. She also loves laying on our bed or in her bouncy which is kept on the counter in the kitchen so she can see everything while not getting trampled on by Bennett. She loves laying n her tummy if she is not getting held by someone, but she sleeps on her back for safety.  She holds her head up great when doing tummy time.  She sleeps in our room still.  She usually eats at midnight and then again round 5 or 6am recently and then likes to snuggle with mommy in bed and sleep until 7:30 or 8am.  Her nap is usually from 10-2pm. And then again in the evening.  She loves her sleep.  Her brothers make her smile so big, she now notices them and looks around for them.  Bristol loves her little blankie I got her and will hold it in her fist.  She loves her paci and sucking on her fist if she can't find the paci. She is very good and letting mommy dress her up and I hope she stays that way because i love  doing it! She has rolled over from belly to back a few times but not a lot yet.  She loves "talking" and "cooing".  She is defiantly out of newborn clothes and into 0-3 and 3-6 in something's.

Family updates

Bennett has been doing so well with his speech therapy.  He makes me so proud. I know we have a long way to go but he has done so much already.  He repeats a lot of things now, especially if he is motivated and wants the thing he is saying.  He can say his first sentence (more than 2words ). He says "iiiiii. To. Want. To......" fill in blank with last word such as play, or Elmo, or watch Elmo, or candy, or papaw, or hold. He is also getting occupational therapy and working on his sensory processing (if you don't know what that is well Bennett is called "sensory seeking" and he doesn't feel pain like the typical kid and will fall or climb and jump or things like that to get sensory input). They are working on his fine motorskills, balance, his sensory seeking, his attention span,ect... I really like his speech therapist and OT.  He drew a circle for the first time in therapy on Tuesday. We still have some issues with transitions and changing from one activity to anotherwhich causessome fits but weare working on them and he is learning somuch every day.He is going to a new preschool in august and I am excited to see him learn even more.  He likes routines. He actually loves going "night.night." now.  He has a new love for the wii also.

Brayden is my wild man. I didn't think I could have a kid as wild as Bennett, I was wrong.  He can climb everything now, including our top and bottom gates at our stairs.  I will often find him on the counters, desk, in pantry, on top of tables, ect... He is the emotional one of the bunch, either laughing and extremely happy or giving you a mean look and pouting.  He loves his big brother and his little sister so much.  He never likes to go to sleep but he likes to sleep in longer then Bennett.  He can say tons and tons of things. He repeats almost anything but gets shy around others and won't talk, they said I was like that when I was little.  He is a eatter and out eats Bennett for sure. They both love going to the pool and swimming and going to grandmas house.

I just updated Bristol in her 2 month post.  I have been keeping busy with 3 kids and starting to get the hang of juggling all 3 :) thankfully I have lots of help from Brian and family. I have also been busy helping plan my sisters wedding coming up in a couple weeks.  Brian keeps busy helping means working a lot ! Speaking of that...if you are looking for a house in ky let us know! We have our own real estate company, b & b Gibson realty.  We list and sell foreclosures but we also list and sell regular real estate as well ! Shameless plug for my hard working husband!

How are the boys adjusting to Bristol?

Well I will let the pictures tell the story and you decide...

These little boys are absolutely in LOVE with their sister! Brayden especially has a certain bond with her.  I would have thought her "newness" might have worn off by now but nope.  If she crys both boys come running or come get me so I will get her.  Brayden just says "oh no oh no oh no" if she is crying and tries to get her the paci.  Brayden is constantly hugging and kissing all over her.  I am so relieved that these 3 are going to be so close as they grow up together.  Truely blessed.

Bristol at Church

Bristol's first day to go to church was on Father's Day.  She did great for her first time!

This is her about to go to church for the 2nd time!
This is her ready for church the 3rd time! (The outfits are too cute so I just had to post them)
