Happy Birthday Karen

Today is the birthday of my mother in law, Karen! We are going to O'Charley's with the family to celebrate. This post is a tribute to her. She has been a great mother to Brian and his sister, Lacy and brother, Jason. She has also been a great mother-in-law to me! We love you Karen!

My Valentine

Our Valentines day was very good. First I woke up to breakfast in bed. Chocolate Chip pancakes, with peanut butter, syrup and chocolate milk.
Then we went to Cheddar Box Cafe for lunch, which was great. We hung out with each other all day. And then for dinner we went to Derby Dinner Playhouse to see Squabbles. It was really good. After the play we went back to my mom's house and played Rummy! I have such a sweet husband. God blessed me with a wonderful man :)

Power

We finally got power back! We found out on Sunday after church but the kids down the street said it came back on Saturday evening. It is nice to be back in our own home, even though we enjoyed the "vacation" to my mom's house for a few days. Some of our food did get ruined so we have to go grocery shopping now. Thank the Lord for wonderfully things like electricity!!!

Christmas Present Date Night

On Saturday me and Brian had a date day... We started out by going to the UL game. We got to the exit ramp of Freedom Hall at 11:30 (game started at Noon)... You would think that would be enough time, but no. We didnt get to the gate to pay and park until Noon. Then they directed us a different way than we normally go so we circled all the way around the Fairgrounds trying to find parking and there was NONE! They had blocked off a huge section of the fairgrounds parking for all the trucks that have came in town to fix our power. So at about 12:30 and still no parking spot we just gave up and said just forget the $6 we payed to park! We left and went to Cardinal Hall of Fame Cafe and got a little something so we could at least see some of the game. After that we started driving to Cinncinati for our date. We stopped at a Walmart on the way to see if we could find any Anti-Freeze since there is none left in Louisville (No Luck there either). Then we headed up to Newport and looked around in the mall there to kill some time before our reservation. Then we went to eat dinner at Morton's. We had never been there before. It was kinda like a Jeff Ruby's/Ruth's Chris kind of place. I like Ruth's Chris better personally. But the Mac and Cheese was the BEST EVER! Cinci has a outdoor ice skating rink in the middle of downtown with a huge tv above it, it was pretty cool! It looked like NY. After dinner we went to the Procter & Gamble Theatre to see Grease on Broadway. I love the movie Grease so Brian bought us tickets to see this as a Christmas gift. The play was amazing. Lots of songs and new stuff. It changed some stuff up from the movie but had lots of the same lines and songs. I definatly recommend it if you like the movie. After the play we started our journey home. We got home around 12:07am. It was a great night!
