Bristol is 5 months!

I say it every time but I can't believe how old and big she is getting. It goes too fast. She has started scooting backwards the past few days, I believe before next month we will have a crawler. Gone are the days of putting her in one spot and coming back with her still there.  She absolutely loves her brothers and when they give her attention she lights up! She still smiles all the time.  She will laugh every once in awhile and it is too cute. I love it. She can roll from back to belly and belly to back.she likes her belly so she doesn't roll from it often.  She can sit up now, but she will fall over a lot so you have to pay close attention. She still sleeps in our room in her pack n play.  She eats every 3 hours during the day still only breastmilk.  This morning she tried a smashed up banana for the first time.  She wakes up a couple times in the next to eat still.  She is not a fan of going back in her bed after eating in the night.  She is starting to reach for people.  She likes to grab toys and put her paci in and out of her mouth.  She loves her feet.  She loves to chew on everything and people's fingers.  She wears mostly 6 months clothes now. There are a few 3-6 months she can wear depending on the brand. She is almost in size 3 diapers, probably the next time we buy a box.

Family trip to Gatlinburg

F
We had a great family trip to Gatlinburg recently.  This was our first time traveling with Bristol.  The kids all did wonderful in the car.  We stayed at a chalet with all of our family.  The boys enjoyed the pool table (a little too much, including Bennett throwing a pool ball), hockey table and hot tub.  We had a great view.  It was rainy and cold most of the time which was a bummer but we still had a great time.  It takes a while to do anything with 13 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies.  We played Apples to Apples at night.  We went to the Dixie Stampede.  The kids loved it.  Bennett was too focused to eat though.  He was a little scared of the animals but he enjoyed it anyways, he fell asleep at the end of the show though.  Brayden loved the food and danced the whole time.  He liked the pigs in the show! We had Old Time Photos made, which made me so happy to have of our kids since I have some as me as a baby and growing up.  We looked for bears as usual and saw 3 the first time. The next day I saw 2 with my Aunt and Uncle.  Then the other people saw a few the time we didnt go.  On the last morning a bear actually got in our trash bin and pooped behind our cars.  Our family loves to go looking for bears while in TN.  The last night Brian gave Brayden a bite of his "Brown Bear" candy and made a comment that it looked like bear poop, well Brayden heard him say that and said " Bear Poop Bear Poop" while spitting it all out and then he gagged and threw up a few times all while saying "poo poo".  LOL! I guess he didnt like that idea.  Fun memories were made.

Christa's Wedding Day

Here are my pictures from the wedding day.  Everyone looked great and Christa looked breath taking.  So many people came and so much of our family was there to support them! It was great seeing everyone.  My kids did great.  Brayden decided last minute he wasnt going to ride in the wagon and after some tears he decided he wanted to walk down with the Flower girls and held cousin Lynnseys hand the whole way.  Bennett and Caleb rode in their wagon that I decorated! Dad cried when he saw Christa for the first time before the wedding, which made her cry.  Dad had a speaking part in the wedding and gave great fatherly advice about honoring God in your marriage.  The reception went good as well.  The food was yummy.  Bennett was a little overwhelmed with the recption and required a lot of attention... it was too much for the poor guy and he eventually fell asleep.  Brayden was good with a big orange sucker at the recption.

Christa's Wedding Rehersal

The boys in their wagon.

My sister recently got married.  Here are some of the pictures from the rehersal and dinner.  Most of the wedding weekend is a blur to me with all the planning, family, keeping my kids in line, ect...All 3 of my kids were in the wedding plus Brian and I were too.  The rehersal was at St. Johns untited church of Christ and the dinner was at Captains Quarters.

Fourth of July

We had a great July 4th this year. We are normally in myrtle beach for this holiday so this was our first fourth at home as a family. We had lunch with my mom and family out. Then we let the boys take a nap while daddy finished up some work. After naps we got everyone ready for the pool. Our neighborhood has a pool so we went there and swam for a few hours. Auntie, Devin, Grandma and papaw joined us. We ate pizza by the pool. It was SOOO hot out, like 103. The water wasn't the least bit refreshing though because it was so hot. We left the pool and went home to change and relax in the air conditioning a little bit. My dad met us there. Around 8 we all went to the neighborhood clubhouse where they had bounce houses, food, a dj, and then a big firework show. The boys had a blast. They barely made it to the fireworks since they were already up 2 hours after bedtime. It was a nice day together as a family enjoying our own neighborhood.

Bristol 2 months

Bristol turned 2 months old Sunday! My baby isn't a newborn anymore! At her checkup  she weighed 12lbs 2oz (75%). She is 22inches (25%). And her head is 14in (50%).  My big girl barely even cried during her shots, maybe 15 seconds and then she was fine. Bristol smiles all the time now, she is the happiest baby. She can give some angry looks with her eyebrows that are hilarious. She loves her sleep, especially during the day. She likes sleeping in her car seat. She likes to eat every 3 hours normally although lately she will go 4 or even 5 hours between feedings every great now and then. Her hair seems to have a little brown in it now. She lifts her head up off the ground to look around. If mommy can't hold her she sits in her bouncy seat.  She loves when we go out walks and she is in her moby wrap and can look up at the sky and trees.  I love dressing her and all of the bows.  Her brother Brayden loves her more than any 21month old brother can! He would give her the world.  He kisses and hugs her to death or will just lay his sweet little head on her or rub her cheek.  Bennett loves her too and hates when she cries and he won't get out of the van until he knows she is getting out, he says "baby.out. Out.". She likes to sleep with her hands straight up when in her crib. She loves sleeping on mommys belly. She likes to keep a little fist up by her face.

Brayden is 2

I can't believe my Brayden is going to be 2 years old in a few days!  He is full of so much personality! I joke that he is a sour patch kid because he will throw a fit one second and be the sweetest little boy the next second.  He is so much like his daddy and wants to be just like him.  He loves his brother and sister so much! Bennett is his best friend and Bristol is his princess.  He has started to have an imagination and can make up play with his toys, feeding the animals food and pretending play dough is pizza.  He can say anything and talks up a storm to us but he has become really shy and won't talk in front of others.  He goes to My Gym to play once a week with mommy and he likes it a lot he just won't talk ;). His recent favorite things to say are "it broke" and "me hurt" "me otay".  He also likes saying "Bennett".  He will go get things we ask for and can follow directions well.  He has started to potty train but is not consistent yet, I am confident he could do it already if I pushed more.  When you tell him to. Hew his food he holds his hand over his mouth to chew which is cute.  Right now he likes Mickey mouse, trains, motorcycles, cars, Elmo, animals.  He sometimes will cry when animals go to sleep on one of his iPad games which is hilarious.
