House Updates
Getting Ready
Well now that we have passed court I have had to move into overdrive in getting things ready for him! I have bought some of the things we need for travel (like all the medicines I will need to bring and travel hygiene containers and other stuff). We are still getting our house ready so we can move in.
*
We need to finish the baby's room (will be done by Wed)
*
Hardwood in kitchen hopefully starts this week.
*
Carpet should come next week (I HOPE!)
*
Then we will move in the day the carpet is in which will give us a couple weeks before Christmas to get settled in.
*
We are hoping to travel the day after Christmas but we have not heard yet when we are going so we dont know yet. You can pray we go that day for us :) If we don't go then it will be Jan 10th that we leave most likely.
*
Oh yeah and I also have to graduate in between there!

Ethiopia Adoption Necklace
There is a great place to get Ethiopia Adoption necklaces.... Junk Posse. Brian had gotten me a necklace from there for our 1 year anniversary that I have posted about before. Well there is a new design I wanted to share with you all! It is Ethiopia in the shape of a wing! A lot of her necklaces give a % towards someones adoption funds. You can look and find one for a blog I follow (The Bottomly Baby). LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!

There is now only 1 day until our court date in Ethiopia. Tomorrow morning we should find out or not if we have passed. If we pass tomorrow he will be legally our son and our names will go on his birth certificate. A family friend of ours from church passed court today with their baby boy Dawit and she posted this yesterday : Philipians 4:6 and it has been great help for me today and I finally feel peace even though of course I am still nervous. PLEASE continue with our family in prayers that we pass court in Ethiopia (they are 8 hours ahead of us so it will be going on while most of you are sleeping). God Bless. Congrats to all who have passed!

There are now only 3 LONG days until our court date in Ethiopia. It is getting harder and harder to keep my mind clear and hopes up! I never knew how hard it would be to wait for this very important date. I want the day to come but I am so nervous and dont want any bad news! Keep praying!!!! Over the weekend my Bible Fellowship class had a baby shower for me....It was lots of fun, Thanks girls!

The house is coming along on time....just have some painting to do and then the carpet. We plan on trying to get the carpet in Thanksgiving week if possible! It will be a lot of hard work.
*
I have a test Monday (today), 30min Presentation Tuesday and a test Thursday! Wish me luck...

7 month and 6 days
Today our baby boy over in Ethiopia is 7 months old!!!! Also, we are 6 days away from our court date! I am starting to get really really nervous about the court date now. Those of you not familiar with adoption, we have to wait on documents and forms from people in Ethiopia and some people in Ethiopia have to go to court and show up....if some of those things dont happen picking up our baby boy can be delayed until they do. I am more than confident we will pass eventually but nervous about passing the first time which we so desperately want. Please pray for our sanity and that everything falls in line for us to pass court the very first time so that we can hold our little boy sooner! Thanks everyone.

Adoption
Has God laid it on your heart to help orphans? Adoption? There is a great way you can help bring our little boy home from Ethiopia and....it is tax deductible for you! Not everyone is at the point in their life where they can adopt themselves, so why not assist someone else? There are several oppurtunities!

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction… James 1:27

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will – Ephesians 1:5
*
Please continue to pray for our baby boy and our adoption. Our court date is quickly approaching (Novemebr 19th) and prayer for passing court the first time will be greatly appreciated. If you feel like you and your familiy is called to help more with our adoption message me (BennettGibson@aol.com) and I will let you know more about how to do so and info on the tax deduction you can get by helping!

House Update
Today we got a lot accomplished at the new house. We worked on the landscape a lot by bagging leaves, cutting grass, trimming bushes, and pulling weeds. The crew finished today in ripping the carpet out of the whole house, tearing the basement out, and tearing the panneling out of the play room. We met with the dry waller and he is coming back on Thursday to patch any holes in the walls (the last owners were nail happy!). LG&E and Louisville Water Co. both came by today. Brian and his dad worked on the furnance and will fix it tomorrow. They also took out the old hot water heaters and will be getting a new one this week. Me and Christ cleaned the kitchens and the cabinets. Tomorrow we are meeting the air duct cleaners at the house.
